According to a study conducted by the University of California, Berkeley (UC Berkeley), transformational leadership, which focuses on inspiring and motivating team members to achieve their full potential, has been found to be the most effective leadership style for driving organizational change (Avolio & Yammarino, 2015). This style involves setting clear vision and goals, providing individualized support and coaching, and empowering team members to take ownership of their work.Another effective leadership style for organizational change is servant leadership, which prioritizes the needs and development of team members over the leader’s own interests (Liden, Wayne, & Sparrowe, 2016). It involves listening and supporting team members. Forbes 2021 found that the best leaders can adapt to the circumstances and show flexibility to help drive organizational change.
