Barriers to planning
Any issues that prevent planning or hinder planning are called barriers to planning. They can come in many forms, and they can be very difficult to overcome. Here are examples of four barriers that can hinder planning. A lack of resources is the most common barrier. The first barrier is a lack in resources. This could include financial resources, staff, or material that are required for the implementation of a plan. One example is a company that wants to expand might not have the money to pay for additional employees or equipment. Lack of knowledge and expertise is another barrier. A lack of knowledge or expertise can lead to a company not having the right skills and knowledge necessary for creating a plan that is effective. One example is a lack of technical expertise in a company to develop a plan to use new technology. (Khanna, 2020). Motivation is another barrier. If a company lacks the motivation or desire to create and sustain a plan that is successful, this can pose a problem.
