Cloud Computing Classifications
Cloud computing allows for flexibility and scale in digital services and resources. This can stimulate privacy and security, as well as data protection and other issues. You can categorize it into one of three categories, namely public cloud or private cloud. The majority of public cloud services are provided by third-party suppliers. Anyone can connect to it for free, or for a fixed fee. This is also called a Pay-as you-go (utility-like) model. It combines the best aspects of in-house and off-site services that can handle most of the users’ needs. This cloud is focused on a specific organization, and allows its members to have flexible access and control over data and resource access. The private cloud can be modified by IT managers to meet their company’s budget, security and performance requirements. (Singhal and colleagues, 2015) A hybrid cloud is one that combines both private and public cloud. The hybrid cloud helps companies balance their virtualized, physical and cloud resources to support different workloads, depending on their needs and objectives.
